WIKUS PROFLEX SW® M42

The special bimetal band saw for profiles with residual stresses

The WIKUS PROFLEX® SW M42 is a special bimetal band saw designed for cutting profiles and beams containing residual stresses. During cutting, these stresses may be released, which can cause a conventional band saw to become jammed in the cut.

The PROFLEX® SW M42 is therefore fitted with an extra-wide special setting. This creates more clearance in the kerf and reduces the risk of jamming. Combined with its robust profile-cutting teeth, this WIKUS band saw is particularly suitable for steel structures and industrial profile machining.

Applications

▸ sections and beams with residual stresses

▸ steel structures

▸ industrial section machining

▸ materials in which stresses may be released during cutting

The PROFLEX® SW M42 is particularly suitable for applications where residual stresses in the material may be released during cutting. The extra-wide pitch ensures that the kerf retains sufficient clearance, thereby helping to prevent the band saw from jamming.

Why PROFLEX® SW M42?

▸ high tooth stability

▸ extra-wide pitch

▸ reduced risk of jamming

▸ robust tooth geometry

Technical specifications

 ▸ band width: 34x1,07 to 67x1,60 mm

▸ extra-wide special set

▸ variable tooth profile

▸ robust profile teeth with a positive cutting angle

Why choose WIKUS PROFLEX® SW M42?

The PROFLEX® SW M42 has been developed for the reliable cutting of profiles and beams with residual stresses. Thanks to the extra-wide special pitch, more clearance is created within the kerf, thereby reducing the risk of jamming. This WIKUS bimetal band saw is therefore particularly suitable for demanding applications in metalworking and steel construction.
